Easy Peanut Butter Smoothie – creamy drink with lots of different flavors. Great for a light breakfast or snack. Easy to customize to your taste.
Peanut Butter Smoothie With Banana:
Adding banana (preferably frozen) to this creamy and nutritious peanut butter smoothie makes it smooth and filling and also adds extra natural sweetness.
I’ve posted quite a few smoothie recipes, but never made a peanut butter one.
Finally I tried a combination I really like, so I know I should share it with you.
After finding an unopened jar of peanut butter, while cleaning my pantry and then seeing this delicious peanut butter green smoothie on Gayle’s blog, I started craving one!
This recipe is pretty simple. It takes 2 minutes to make and some simple ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen.
I used frozen strawberries, creamy peanut butter, banana, plain Greek yogurt, ice and some milk to thin it. (Water could be used to thin it, too).
Feel free to add sweetener, which I constantly skip, because my extra calories allowed are reserved for a slice of Tiramisu Cheesecake.
Peanut Butter Smoothie Without Banana:
Looking to make this easy peanut butter smoothie without banana? You definitely can. You can either use rolled oats, tofu or ground flax as a substitute for the creaminess and nutrition.
I sometimes allow myself to have bananas (not every day) and love adding them to smoothies.
What ingredients do I need to make this Easy Peanut Butter Smoothie?

- peanut butter
- greek yogurt

- ice
- water
- sweetener (optional)
How to make peanut butter smoothie with banana?
-

-
Pour into glasses and serve!
Tips to make the perfect peanut butter smoothie:
- The only thing I highly advice is after you blend everything, check the consistency and sweetness and adjust according to your taste, before you pour this goodness into glasses.
- Use frozen bananas if you have them. This really makes a difference, creating thick and cold smoothie, whereas if you use non frozen banana the smoothie might be more like a shake.
- If you like berries, add some frozen strawberries or mixed berries. This way, I know, you have a peanut butter banana berry smoothie, but the combination is awesome!
This smoothie is creamy, thick, filling and refreshing. The recipe makes 2 small servings, so you can share. Unlike me who had one for a morning and another for afternoon snack.
It is definitely a new kind of smoothie to me, but I enjoyed the flavors and will be making it again.
My husband advised that I should add Nutella next time, so I can’t wait to try this.
This peanut butter smoothie combines a few different tastes, so feel free to add or omit ingredients.

Thanks Kathleen!
What a delicious smoothie! And so healthy too. I definitely will be making these for breakfast tomorrow – can’t think of a better way to start my day!
Yum 🙂
Adding peanut butter to the smoothie is a great idea! The smoothie will be a great meal for breakfast or a post run snack. I can’t find good strawberries in winter now, but I’ll try some frozen blueberries. Great recipe! Pinned!
My sister makes this all the time! Love this smoothie!
