Berry Hibiscus Iced Tea Lemonade Refresher – simple drink, perfect to help you stay cool during hot summer days.
Just a few simple ingredients to make this refresher a great summer drink.
It helps you stay hydrated. I used sparkling lemonade from a can and also added some fresh blueberries to it.
We still have a few more weeks of summer left.
Instead of thinking about the colder days that are yet to come, I would like to enjoy the rest of the nice weather with some more homemade drinks.
I’ve been making this berry hibiscus iced tea lemonade refresher all summer long and love it! It is the perfect drink to take to the pool or beach.
It has a rich color, slightly tangy taste and a little spark from the lemonade.
So easy to make, too! You can also serve it at your next barbecue.
And I also like it better than Starbucks’s Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher.
I’ve been making hot hibiscus tea for years, but I also enjoy drinking it cold.
The tea is made from the red, vibrantly colored calyces of the hibiscus flower.
I’ve also read that this tea is good to lower your blood pressure, it is also rich in antioxidants and can improve your oral health.
I did cheat a little with this recipe, because I used San Pellegrino canned sparkling lemonade.
While this is one of the very few canned lemonades I like, it does contain quite a bit of sugar.
It you are concerned about that, feel free to use a lemonade, sweetened with plant based sweetener or a low glycemic one.
Hope you have a great week!
