Inspiration
This recipe was inspired by a version I came across in The Slanted Door cookbook by Charles Phan. I adapted it into a simpler, more approachable method using basic ingredients and a home ice cream maker, keeping the focus on fresh strawberry flavor and a smooth, clean texture.

Very beautiful looking bowl of sorbet, Mira! Looks so creamy and delicious! I can have a big bowl of this right now!
Thanks my friend!
This sorbet makes me wish for Summe, tropical & hot weather again – and not the cold Autumn we’re experiencing here in Australia! Looks delicious mira.
Oh yeah, it is getting colder there Thalia ! Thanks so much for stopping by 🙂
Wow, love the colour of that sorbet! I need to get an ice cream maker. Every summer I say this as soon as the frozen recipes start showing up everywhere, but I think this year I’m finally going to get around to it! I love sorbet, and this one looks amazing!
Thanks Stacey! I actually won my ice cream maker from a blogger giveaway 🙂 But a kitchen aid ice cream bowl works great too 🙂
Strawberry sorbet looks so vibrant and refreshing. Looks divine, Mira!
I love ice cream, but there’s definitely a place for sorbet — it’s so refreshing! My youngest son loves it , so I’ll have to make this for him for sure. 🙂
I actually prefer sorbet to ice cream, love the freshness! Thanks Marcie!!!
I could really go for some of this fresh strawberry sorbet right about now. Strawberries are so plentiful this time of year, and this is a wonderful way to use them. Pinned!
This looks so refreshing Mira. I love sorbet and I love strawberries so this is exactly my kind of dessert. I really need an ice cream maker. Thanks for the inspiration!
I don’t have an ice cream maker! Waaaaaa!!
This is a fantastic recipe! I made it earlier this week and everyone in my house loved it. I used 1 1/2 cups sugar since my strawberries were pretty ripe. The sorbet was perfect – sweet, great texture, beautiful color. I had to churn the sorbet in two batches since my ice-cream maker must a little smaller than yours but that was not a problem – more sorbet the next day! Thanks for a great recipe.
So glad you like it Nguyet! It is so easy to prepare, fresh and delicious! I think my ice cream maker was just the right size for the amount, but if it was a little smaller, definitely 2 batches would be great!
Holy smokes girl! This is a beautiful sorbet! I’m not much of a fan of frozen desserts either, but I’d gladly try this. Pinning this for when it warms up!
So glad you like it Christine! It is very easy to make and perfect for warm weather!
