BLENDER GUACAMOLE IN A WHITE BOWL

Looking for a quick and effortless, healthy homemade appetizer? This blender guacamole is just perfect for busy people and tastes delicious!

The more new appetizer recipes I try, the more convinced I am that Mexican style and pizza appetizers are my favorite kinds so far.

Of course I enjoy cheesy dips and potatoes as well.

Today’s recipe is not very creative or anything new .

I just love guacamole and make it at home all the time.

I even have some for dinner on days, when I feel I’ve eaten a lot during the day and would like to have a light dinner. Easy on the tortilla chips…

How to make Guacamole In A Blender?

Don’t know if it is just me…, but guacamole looks a lot fresher, when made in a blender.

But it isn’t as chunkier as if you just mash it by hand.

I like making my guacamole with red onions, whenever possible, because of their mild flavor.

Directions:

  1. Add lime juice, onion, garlic, jalapeno and salt to the jar of your blender and pulse at least 3 times.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and pulse 8-10 times.
  3. Serve immediately.

More Mexican Recipes:

I recently made a very simple Nachos Appetizer With Chipotle {Copycat Recipe} Marinated Chicken, homemade blender guacamole and homemade salsa, so I thought that sharing these recipes this week will be just in time for Game Sunday.

Making guacamole very often, I’ve tested quite a few recipes and this one is my favorite so far.

I love making it in my blender, because I’ve noticed that avocado remains green for a longer period of time.

Because even if you squeeze a lot of lime juice on top of guacamole, avocado still turns brown pretty quickly.

How long in advance can you make guacamole?

It is best to consume it right away. Or spray some lime juice on top to cover the surface of the guacamole, and tightly cover the top with plastic wrap and keep in the fridge for 2-3 hours.

Guacamole add-ins and toppings:

I used to add tomatoes to my guacamole, but recently stopped doing so.

This way it reminds me of Chipotle’s guacamole, which is one of my favorite places to eat Mexican food.

Optional Guacamole Toppings (add-ins):

  • tomatoes
  • corn
  • bacon
  • chopped onions
  • fried onions
  • pomegranate arils

How to make guacamole spicy?

This version of  the popular appetizer isn’t too spicy, because I only use about 1/2 jalapeño pepper, but feel free to add more or omit is if you don’t like it too hot.

Guacamole without a blender:

This is a blender version of the recipe, but it could easily be made without a blender.

Just mash your avocados with a fork and chop onion, garlic and cilantro.

Then mix everything together.
