Recipe Tips & FAQs

  1. How do I get extra crispy potatoes? Soak the cubed potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes before cooking. This helps remove excess starch, making them crispier.
  2. Should I peel the potatoes? Peeling gives a smoother texture, but leaving the skin on adds extra crispiness and nutrients. Just make sure you clean the skins well.
  3. What’s the best type of potato to use? Yellow or Yukon Gold potatoes are best for a creamy texture inside and crispy outside. You can also use Russet potatoes for an even crispier finish.
  4. How to cook them evenly? Cut the potatoes into uniform ½-inch cubes and toss them at least once, preferably halfway through cooking to ensure even browning.
