These holiday platters are so pretty to look at. Nothing special, but always fun to make and enjoy with family and friends. Is this even a recipe? It is more an idea for holiday entertainment. Let your imagination help you create a beautiful holiday cheese and meat platter.

It works for any diet – balanced, low fat or low carb/Keto.

What do you need to make a holiday cheese board/tray?

This is more of an antipasto snack tray, not necessarily a cheese tray. Made using orange and white cheddar, salami, grapes and olives. The beauty of the recipe is that it is totally customizable. You can customize it to your taste, your guest’s taste and of course to the wine / other beverages you are serving.

The snack tray I’m sharing with you today is pretty small, you can make it a lot bigger, by adding spreadable cheese like Boursin, crackers ( gluten free or Keto will also work), different nuts and all kinds of winter fruit (persimmons, pomegranates and pears).

Adding cold cuts of meat like prosciutto or ham will be also great.

Decorate with rosemary, thyme and fresh cranberries, if you’d like.

You’ll need either a large platter or a cutting board to form the Christmas Tree pattern on.

You basically start from the bottom and form a triangle (pyramid) shape, alternating cheese, grapes, olives and meats.

I choose to use cheddar cheese and pair the Christmas tree tray with Cabernet Sauvignon.

What to serve this cheese board with?

If you are planing a Christmas gathering, I have some more fun ideas for you.

Serve this cheese platter together with these festive Andouille Sausage Appetizer Bites.

Make some Savory Baked Brie or this Easy Holiday Cranberry Punch.

This Christmas tree cheese tray is a compliment to any meal this holiday season. No need to make if for Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. Make it any day of the week and serve with your favorite wine.
