Recipe tips/FAQs

  • Not a Fan of Feta Cheese?
Swap it out for cream goat cheese, ricotta, or even grated Parmesan for a different flavor profile.
  • Choosing the Right Peppers:
Use any type of pepper you like! It is important that they are firm and fresh. Bell peppers are great for a mild crunch, while Cubanelle or Banana peppers offer a slightly sweeter flavor. Mini peppers are ideal for bite-sized snacks.
  • Versatile Filling:
The cottage and feta mixture also works well as a stuffing for tomatoes or as a creamy dip for veggies like carrots, celery, or cucumbers.
  • Dairy-Free Option:
While I haven’t tested it, you can try using dairy-free alternatives for cottage and Feta cheese. Let me know how it turns out!
  • Add-Ins:
Customize the filling with grated Parmesan, chopped spinach, green onions, or your favorite herbs.
