Colorful antipasto skewers on a plate

These antipasto skewers are great for an effortless, last minute appetizer. Great to add to a party platter for any occasion and especially NYE.

I’ve already shared with you a recipe for Caprese Skewers and these seem to be a big hit every time I make them in my house. Super fresh and perfect for celebration.

Antipasto skewers are somewhat similar, but there are some extra ingredients like olives, salami, pepperoncini peppers, marinated mushrooms and artichoke hearts. All these ingredients complement each other very well. You can skip some of them and add others like tortellini (I try to stay away from carbs as much as I could, that’s why I didn’t use any) or even peppers.

What are antipasto skewers?

Antipasto is on Italian appetizer, consisting of olives, anchovies, cheese and meats.

These antipasto skewers are appetizer skewers, made with tomatoes, mozzarella, salami (or other meats), olives, artichokes and other complementing ingredients. The ingredients are skewered together onto wooden skewers.

Served on a platter as a party style appetizer.

What to put on antipasto skewers?

It all depends on your personal taste and what your guests enjoy. I’ve seen a lot pf different options on the web. But sometimes we don’t even have all the ingredients that a recipe calls for, so you san improvise.

I’d say, use cherry or grape tomatoes, cheese (like mozzarella or feta), meat (like salami or prosciutto), olives (any kind of olives), basil if you have it.

In today’s recipe, I also used some homemade Marinated Mushrooms, artichoke hearts and Pepperoncini peppers.

Other optional ingredients are sweet pickled mini peppers, tortellini or cornichons (mini pickles).

How to make Antipasto Skewers?

Get all ingredients together.

Prepare wooden skewers, trim them if they are too long.

Thread grape mozzarella, salami, tomatoes, peppers, salami, olives, artichoke, olives, mushrooms and finish with tomatoes.
