Can you grill Brussel sprouts? The good news is that you sure can! These are the best Brussels sprouts that I’ve ever made on the grill.

The preparation is pretty simple and the result is so delicious!

I usually roast Brussel sprouts and sometimes saute them. But since it is still summer, even though it doesn’t feel like it this week, I decided to try and grill some Brussels.

Roasted vs grilled Brussel sprouts? I’d say it is a personal preference. These grilled Brussels sprouts on a wooden skewer are fun, but if it was winter, I’d probably just roast the sprouts in the oven.

How to grill Brussel sprouts?

There are several different ways to grill them.

  • Grilling of a skewer. The easiest and the most fun way is to choose medium Brussels sprouts and cut them in half. Then thread them onto skewers, season, drizzle with olive oil and grill to perfection.
  • Grilling Brussels sprouts in foil – produces delicious and flavorful result, but you are missing the charred effect.
  • Grilling directly on the grill without a skewer. If the distance between the grill grates is smaller than the Brussels sprouts, this could work too, but turning then to evenly char will be time consuming and you are risking to burn yourself. When you are using skewers you can easily turn them while grilling.
