It is no secret that I’m a huge fan of Boursin® cheese.

I buy it all the time. I’ve also used it in recipes, but I definitely prefer enjoying its wonderful flavor and creamy texture over some good quality crackers.

My desire today is to show you how to prepare your own holiday appetizer platter.

Yes, I know this isn’t really a recipe and everyone could throw in some fruit, crackers, nuts and cheese and call it a platter. I’d like to give you some ideas and share my love for Boursin® cheese.

On my recent trip to Walmart, I got some Boursin® Shallot & Chive cheese from the cheese section. There is also another awesome flavor (my second favorite) – Garlic And Fine Herb. You can also find it in these flavors :

  • Boursin® Red Chili Pepper
  • Boursin® Cranberry & Spice
  • Boursin® Basic & Chive
  • Boursin® Cracked Black Pepper
  • Boursin® Cranberry & Apple

My intentions were to use it for the holidays, but I also made a Saturday night appetizer platter last Saturday, just to practice before the holidays and show you my idea.

No matter if we host a party at home, of go to a party with family or friends, I would always make a platter like this.

By choosing a nice plate/platter/board, you can easily add all of your ingredients and wrap to cover them, so it is ready for your party. And it will look beautiful!

I made some homemade marinated mushrooms, loaded with flavors and always look good on a holiday platter.

I also used some nuts (pistachios), high end mini crackers, pomegranate, tangerines and grapes. Feel free to add more components to the platter, if you’d like.

The use of Boursin® Shallot And Chive is a must!
