Chia Grapefruit Drink Recipe – made with chia seeds, fresh grapefruit juice, ice, water and Truvia® Natural Sweetener. Light, sweet and refreshing. Perfect to start your day or as an energy afternoon drink.

I rarely make homemade drinks, but when I do, they need to be good. This Chia Grapefruit Drink is my new favorite. It tastes like grapefruit lemonade, but with the addition of superfood chia seeds.

The sweetness in this healthier for you every day drink comes from the naturally sweet flavor of the Truvia Natural Sweetener Packets that I recently got.

I found Truvia Natural Sweetener at my local Jewel Osco store, in the baking aisle. The shopping experience was amazing, as always, and I just love going to that store.

After picking up my Truvia Natural Sweetener products, I also got some grapefruits, other fruits and veggies and some chia seeds at Jewel Osco.

Your local grocery store is the perfect place to shop for Truvia Natural Sweetener and all of your groceries.

I also got a tub of the Truvia Natural Sweetener Spoonable, which I’m planning to use in some other recipes this week. I’m extremely excited!

With everything I got, I was ready to create my own delicious and fun drink.

All you need to do to prepare this Chia Grapefruit Drink is combine 1 tablespoon of chia seeds with 3 tablespoons water, let the chia seeds jellify, then fill a glass with ice, add juice from 1 grapefruit, the chia seeds and water mixture, a pack of  Truvia Natural Sweetener Packets and top with 1 cup of water.

This Chia Grapefruit Drink is a great energy booster and will keep you hydrated.

The best part is that it is naturally sweetened!

Truvia Natural Sweetener is a natural, zero-calorie sweetener  from the leaves of the stevia plant. It’s naturally sweet flavor helps you create healthier for you recipes that are lower in sugar while maintaining a great taste. It’s great as a sugar substitute for drinks and different desserts. In fact, it is so versatile that it can be used in other recipes such as appetizers, sides and main dishes.

¾ teaspoon of Truvia Natural Sweetener Spoonable, or one packet, provides the same sweetness as two teaspoons of sugar, which is just perfect! For more information, check out this Truvia Natural Sweetener vs sugar conversion chart.

  1. I’m the same as you, I don’t make homemade drinks a lot either! But I would definitely make this one because it sounds delicious! I love the grapefruit and chia combination! So flavorful and refreshing!

  2. This is for real one GORGEOUS drink, Mira! I’m seriously loving the color so much. I don’t use grapefruits nearly as often as I should so this one is definitely getting made!

  3. The color of this drink just makes me happy- sadly I cannot have grapefruit juice due to medications. I wonder what would make a good substitute? #client

    1. Thank you Jenna! Orange, Pomelo or blood orange juice will work well. Also if you can not have any citrus at all, I’d probably try it with raspberries. Let me know!
