Ingredients

  • 1 14–15 oz package Golden Oreos OR Classic Oreos
  • 8 oz 225 g cream cheese, softened
  • 8 oz 225 g white chocolate, semi-sweet chocolate, or candy melts
  • Optional: colored candy melts or gel food coloring for decorating

Instructions

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Pulse Oreos (with filling) in a food processor until fine crumbs form.
  • Transfer crumbs to a bowl and mix with softened cream cheese until fully combined.
  • Scoop 1½–2 tablespoon portions and roll into balls or egg shapes.
  • Chill 15–20 minutes until firm.
  • Melt chocolate.
  • Dip each truffle using a fork, tap to remove excess chocolate, and return to parchment.
  • Decorate immediately while chocolate is still wet.
  • Chill 10–15 minutes until set.

Notes

  • Use Golden Oreos for a lighter vanilla flavor or classic chocolate Oreos for a richer taste. Both work well in this recipe.
  • Make sure the cream cheese is fully softened before mixing to ensure a smooth, uniform texture.
  • Chill the truffles before dipping so they hold their shape when coated in melted chocolate.
  • For smooth dipping, use a fork and gently tap off excess chocolate before placing back on parchment paper.
  • Store refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 5 days. Let sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before serving for the best texture.
  • Truffles can be frozen for up to 2 months. Thaw in the refrigerator before serving.
