In a bowl combine: 1/4 cup olive oil, 2 tbsp brown sugar or low-carb brown sweetener, 3 tbsp soy sauce — (low sodium), 2 tbsp lemon juice, 1/2 tsp grated fresh ginger, 2 garlic cloves — minced or pressed, 1 tsp paprika or smoked paprika, 1/2 tsp dried oregano, 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper or a splash of your favorite hot sauce, 1 tsp Dijon mustard and 1/4 tsp black pepper for the marinade.
