For the salmon:
- 2 (6-8 oz ) salmon fillets, skin removed
- 1 tbsp white miso paste
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 1/2 tsp Sriracha
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
For the asparagus:
- 1 pound asparagus , trimmed and peeled
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 1/2 tbsp rice wine vinegar
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp fresh grated ginger
- 1/2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
To cook on the grill:
Preheat gas grill to medium-high heat. (450F). Clean grates (they need to be extremely clean, to prevent sticking).
Cook for 3-4 minutes per side. Do not try to flip it earlier, because it will stick and fall apart.
To cook on the stove top:
For the asparagus:
You can shave asparagus or cut them in half.
Combine all ingredients for the marinade in a bowl. Add asparagus and toss to coat. Let them marinade for 10 minutes.
Serve salmon over asparagus. Sprinkle some toasted sesame seeds.
