Salmon Cutlets (Salmon Steak) Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 salmon cutlets about 6-8 oz each
  • Salt and Pepper to taste about 1/2 tsp of each
  • 2 tbsp avocado oil
  • Optional seasoning: paprika garlic powder about 1/2 tsp of each
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  • Place steaks on a plate and season with salt and pepper, (add the paprika and garlic powder, if using). Drizzle with oil.
  • Preheat a cast iron skillet on the stove top at medium-high heat.
  • Cook for 3 minutes per side, until golden on the outside. Cook for a minute or two longer, if the steaks are on the larger side).
  • Serve with lemon wedges and the pan sauces.
