Ingredients

  • 2 pounds jumbo shrimp
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper — or more to taste

For the garlic butter:

  • 6 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic — pressed
  • 1/8 tsp salt — optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat a gas grill to medium-high heat (400-450 F). 

    Soak 8 wooden skewers in cold water (or use metal skewers).

  2. Combine all ingredients for the seasoning in a small bowl.

    Wash and pat dry shrimp. Season with seasoning.

  3. Skewer shrimp onto skewers. Place on the grill. Cook for 2 minutes per side, until fully cooked.

    Brush with garlic butter.

For the garlic butter:

  1. Melt butter and add pressed garlic and salt (optional).
