Apple Pear Green Smoothie (Green Thickie)

This apple pear green smoothie (green thickie) is fresh, delicious and nutritious. The combination of apple, pear, spinach, milk, rolled oats and pecans makes a filling drink, that can easily replace a light meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 large pear (cored)
  • 1 large apple of your choice (cored)
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh spinach
  • 1 cup almond milk ( 2 % dairy milk is fine)
  • 1/2 cup water or ice
  • 2 tbsp rolled oats
  • 2 tbsp pecans (any nuts of your choice)
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup (optional)

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients together in a powerful blender and blend until smooth.
  • Pour in a glass, top with some more nuts (optional) and enjoy.

Notes

I did not peel the apple or pear.
You can use nuts of your choice.
For a smoothie-like consistency use ice and for a juice-like consistency use water.
Dairy milk could be substituted.
