Ingredients

– 6 large avocados — cut in half, pit removed and 2 tbsp of the inside scooped out – 1 lb lean ground beef – 1/2 tsp salt – 1/4 tsp black pepper – 1 tsp cumin – 1 tbsp chili powder – 1/4 tsp onion powder – 1/2 tsp garlic powder – 1/4 tsp oregano – 1/4 cup tomato sauce – 1/3 cup shredded cheese – 1/4 cup chopped tomatoes – chopped cilantro or parsley for garnishing – additional toppings of your choice – 6 lime slices

Step 1

Place cut avocados on a platter.

Step 2

Place beef in a large skillet and cook for2-3 minutes, stir frequently and crumble the beef. Drain the grease. Add the seasoning and tomato sauce. Cook for 3-4 more minutes or until cooked through. 

Step 3

Fill avocado shells with the filling. Top with cheese, tomatoes, avocado (or guacamole if you decide to make), squeeze some lime juice and a add additional toppings of your choice. Serve immediately.
