How To Make  Greek Chicken




– 4 lb whole chicken – 1/4 cup olive oil – 1/4 cup unsalted butter — melted – 4 garlic cloves — minced – 2 tbsp dry white wine – Juice from 1 large lemon – 1 tsp salt – 1/4 tsp black pepper – 1/2 tsp oregano – 1/4 tsp paprika

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Step 3

Place the chicken on a roasting pan or a baking sheet.

Step 4

Rub the olive oil mixture all over the chicken, including the cavity.

Step 5

Tie the legs together with kitchen twine, if desired.

Step 6

Roast the chicken in the preheated oven for 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the thigh registers 165°F (74°C).
