Turmeric Papaya Smoothie – an amazing combination of flavors makes this drink super delicious.Turmeric Papaya Smoothie

It takes 5 minutes to make  this turmeric papaya smoothie. And about 5 more to drink it.

I love smoothies and used to make one every day, but haven’t been drinking them a lot recently. I just prefer to eat fresh fruit.

Occasionally I’ll decide to try a flavor combination in a smoothie and this is how this Turmeric Papaya Smoothie was created.

I’ve mentioned about turmeric before and also shared this Turmeric chicken quinoa salad and these turmeric roasted potatoes.

If you are not a fan of turmeric, you can skip it. The smoothie will still taste delicious. But turmeric is a powerful herb and I personally think everyone should try it.

This Turmeric Papaya Smoothie is great for a light breakfast. Look at this color, it screams summer to me.

Turmeric Papaya Smoothie

I used papaya, ripe banana (preferably frozen), almond milk, sweetener and turmeric. It is very easy to make, creamy and super delicious.

I know some people don’t like papaya… That smell… But I actually like it.

Papaya is rich in antioxidants, vitamin C and fiber. It is very low in calories, one cup contains just around 40 calories, which makes it the perfect fruit snack for me.

When choosing a papaya at the store, make sure you pick one that is not bruised if you can find and afford it, buy an organic papaya, it just tastes better and sweeter.

Hope you get to try it. Have a great weekend!

  1. Yummy and sweet! Next time I will use only 1 T. of honey. I tamed the sweetness by adding some non-dairy yogurt.

  2. When you say better with a frozen banana, do you mean you use the frozen banana straight up? Or do you let it thaw out (more juicy, less solid)?

    1. It is best if the banana is cut into pieces, then frozen. When making the smoothie, use the frozen (not thawed) banana chunks.

  3. This smoothie is so, so good. Yes, it’s better with the frozen banana, but I also added 1 tabs. of almonds, walnuts, and chia seeds. It gave it a nutty taste. I love ❤️ tumeric, so I was very happy to see this recipe, thank you for printing it.

  4. Loved this recipe!! I already love both papaya and turmeric, but don’t eat enough of either. This recipe is perfectly sweet with the honey and fruit and the turmeric adds an ever so slight spice (I didn’t measure how much I put in but I’m used to turmeric). I’m glad I found this recipe and it’ll now be on permanent rotation!

  5. Super great papaya turmeric combination, both for cleanse and turmetic for anti inflammatory goodness. Thank you.
