Hi everyone! How was your holiday?
Mine was nice; I enjoyed the time with my favorite people.
Today I’m sharing with you one of my new favorite drinks and a fun tutorial how to make a vase out of a plastic bottle.
Working from home, it could get challenging to stick to my everyday plans and to do lists. I get overwhelmed at times.
Taking a few minutes for myself to relax and enjoy a refreshing drink has been my secret to staying in good shape. I’ve realized that what I eat and drink impacts how I feel, and that’s why I love the simplicity of Straight Up™ Tea.
Here is how my typical weekday goes – I workout early in the morning, then do some cooking and photography for my blog. I sometimes go out to lunch then run errands. It happens to be that I’m out for several hours and I could get very thirsty, and that’s why I can’t wait to get home to my Straight Up™ Tea.
Being active and busy doesn’t mean you shouldn’t enjoy yourself!
I’ve been obsessed with Snapple® Straight Up™ Tea lately, and my favorite flavor is the Sorta Sweet Honey Green Tea. It’s the perfect balance of sweetness with my favorite green tea taste.
I’m glad I got to try these teas. Snapple® Straight Up™ Tea has two new varieties – Sorta Sweet Honey Green Tea and Sorta Sweet Rooibos – that are available now at your local Walmart.
These teas are only $1 each right now at Walmart. Stock up on these while they’re such a good bargain. You won’t regret it!
Did I mention the cool Straight Up™ Tea bottle? It could easily be upcycled, and I have a very simple craft for you. I made a metallic vase with the tea bottle. It is a simple party centerpiece, and by adding fresh flowers, it is perfect for spring.
Spring is my favorite season, and I love fresh cut flowers so much that I buy them every week. This week’s flowers are in a beautiful handmade vase made by me. This will also make a nice gift for Mother’s Day, which is about 5 weeks away.
- What you need for this tutorial:
Straight Up™ Tea bottle, metallic spray, glue, ribbon and scissors/knife.
- Steps:
- Cut the top portion of bottle with a sharp knife or scissors.
2.Spray paint the bottle with a metallic spray. (I used silver). Let it dry.
- Tie ribbon around the middle portion of the vase and make a bow. Use glue to secure the ribbon in place.
- Fill with water and add flowers.
Now you have a beautiful vase!
Are you excited to try the new Snapple® Straight Up™ Tea flavors? Head over to Walmart and get them now!

Thanks Gayle! I love crafts, I wish I did stuff like this more often 🙂
Glad to hear that you had a wonderful holiday, Mira. 🙂 These teas really do sound so convenient and delish! Love that you also reused the bottles and turned them into classy-looking vases. So you can cook AND you’re crafty? Awesome! Thanks for another great post, Mira. xoxo
I wasn’t an iced tea drinker until I came to the U.S (only hot tea for me), but Snapple do make a delicious tea and I must try this. Love your vase idea.
Yeah, ever since we moved to the US, I started loving iced tea, too! Thanks Janette!
I feel you on the challenges of keeping a schedule when you work from home! It can be so hard. Sometimes I don’t do enough work and other times I can’t seem to stop myself. Taking care of yourself and allowing small breathing moments helps so much. Awesome way to up-cyle bottles!
My daughter loves Snapple so I’ve gotta get my hands on this – and, Mira, I am so loving those Snapple bottle vases! GORGEOUS! Happy Monday!
