The perfect drink for caramel and latte lovers – Salted Caramel Latte and delicious bistro style Baked French Toast Sticks, ready in 30 minutes. The best part – the two pair very well together.

I’m a huge coffee lover. I usually have one regular coffee and one latte per day.

I followed the exact instructions and added a tbsp of salted caramel sauce to mine. It turned out fantastic! Nor sure why, I connect the salted caramel flavor with the winter holidays, but I’ve been making this latte every day for the last week.

This product is so cool, because it turns coffee into a latte!

Great for a quick and delicious family breakfast. They are quickly dipped into a mixture of eggs, vanilla and milk.

Then sprinkled with sugar, cinnamon (optional) and lemon zest (optional), sprayer with oil or butter spray and baked in the oven for about 15 minute per side, until golden.

Ever since I started making these, kids and adults around here love and prefer them to regular French Toast.

I used Texas toast and I cut each slice into four sticks. White toast could be used, but baking time and results may vary.

Baked French Toast Sticks Recipe

Baked French Toast Sticks Recipe - crunchy, sweet French toast sticks, baked to perfection, topped with berries, dusted with powdered sugar. Great for breakfast or brunch. 
Prep: 5 minutes
Cook: 25 minutes
Total: 30 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients 

  • 4 slices Texas Toast
  • 2 eggs, large
  • 1/3 cup whole milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt
  • oil or butter spray
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon, (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp lemon zest, (optional)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350 F. 
    Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  • In a small bowl whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract and salt.
    In another small bowl, combine sugar, lemon zest and cinnamon. Set aside.
  • Cut each slice of Texas Toast into 4 sticks (cut each slice in half and then each half in half). Dip into the egg mixture and place on the baking sheet. Spray with oil/butter spray and sprinkle with some of the sugar mixture.
  • Bake for 15 minutes, then turn and spray with oil/butter spray. Sprinkle with the remaining sugar mixture. Bake for 10 more minutes, or until golden.
  • Remove from the oven and transfer to a plate. Dust with powdered sugar.Top with berries. Serve.
