Protein Frozen Yogurt Bites - light, nutritious and healthy

These Frozen Yogurt Bites are very quick and easy to make and perfect for summer. Summer is upon us. This means that it is time for some frozen treats. I’m not talking about ice cream though. I’m talking about homemade frozen yogurt bites. Made with Greek Yogurt, non dairy milk, frozen strawberries and Bob’s Red Mill Protein Powder in Chocolate.

Protein Frozen Yogurt Bites

We are having busy summer as usual. Lots of outdoor activities, traveling, hiking. It is my responsibility to think of healthy snacks. I’ve been making a lot of smoothies, energy bites, granola bars, frozen fruit popsicles. But I really wanted to make a different, protein packed frozen treat. This is how these Frozen Yogurt Bites were created. They melt in your mouth. With a chocolate – strawberry taste, these make the perfect mini nutritious snack.

Since they are frozen, they aren’t really good for traveling or on the go, since they will melt, but they are great to enjoy at home.

I was very excited to try Bob’s Red Mill Nutritional Boosters for the first time last month. A huge fan on Bob’s Red Mill here!

Bob’s Red Mill Nutritional Boosters are plant-based protein at its finest. Excellent source of protein (20g per serving) and fiber, this is pretty good! They are perfect for a quick snack, post workout.

Bob’s Red Mill Protein Powders have probiotics and pre-biotic fiber and are also naturally sweetened with monk fruit.

Bob’s Red Mill Nutritional Boosters come in three different flavors : Vanilla, Chai and Chocolate. They all taste amazing, but I happened to love the chocolate the most.

I made so many different smoothies with these (even though today’s recipe isn’t for a smoothie, I can still share the smoothies on social media with you). There also are some smoothie recipes on the packaging of the Nutritional Boosters.

They make a great snack and really help me eat nutritious plant based food and snacks.

Having something like these Protein Frozen Yogurt Bites at home, the ability to make a healthy protein rich smoothie, helps me stay away from high calorie (calorie bombs) snacks at the times when I only have 5 minutes to make a smoothie, of just enough time to pull out my nutritious snacks out of the freezer.

You can freeze them in an ice cube tray, or rubber mold like this Wilton Daisy one.

After you freeze the yogurt bites for at least 4 hours, until set, I recommend that yo move them to zip lock bags, so they don’t dry out in the freezer.
