I’m excited to share with you a simple trick how to make taco cups from tortillas.
These Crunchy Taco Cups With Tortillas, Turkey And Salsa Verde require less than 30 minutes to make and a few simple ingredients. But if you know me, you should know that I like to come up with very easy party recipes like these taco cups.

What makes this Crunchy Taco Cups With Tortillas, Turkey And Salsa Verde recipe extra special and unique, is the use of Pace® Salsa Verde.
Pace® as a brand ALWAYS provides genuine southwest flavor and I love using it in my cooking. Of course it tastes great for dipping, but it really is good on anything but ice cream.
It has variety of textures and heat levels ~ it kicks the flavor up to 11. I got the 24 oz. Pace® Salsa Verde and 24 oz. Pace® Chunky Salsa Medium at Walmart.
Pace® Salsa is so versatile and can be used as an ingredient, condiment or dipping sauce for parties or in your everyday cooking.
I just love buying versatile products like this. After making these taco cups, I also enjoyed the salsa with some chips.
To make the taco cups I used ground turkey that I seasoned with homemade taco seasoning. If you are not a huge fan of turkey, you can use ground chicken instead.
I cooked the turkey with the seasoning on the stove top until no longer pink.
I used a round cookie cutter to cut out 3 1/2-inch rounds from flour tortillas, which I then placed in a greased muffin tin. Then I topped with about 1 tbsp ground turkey and 1 tbsp grated cheese and baked in the oven for 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the tortillas are crispy.
Then let the cups cool a little, carefully remove from the tin and top with chopped tomatoes (you can skip these, if you decide to use Pace® Picante Sauce), avocado, sour cream and Pace® Salsa Verde.
These mini muffin tin taco cups are loaded with southwest flavors and very tasty.

Crunchy Taco Cups With Tortillas, Turkey And Pace® Salsa Verde
Ingredients
For the taco cups:
- 12 12-inch flour tortillas
- 1 cup grated cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
- 1 avocado, large, cut into small cubes
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 3/4 cup Pace® Salsa Verde
For the turkey (can use ground chicken instead):
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb ground turkey breast
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/4 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp sea salt
Instructions
For the turkey (can use ground chicken instead):
- Combine all ingredients for the seasoning in a small bowl.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add ground turkey and seasoning. Using a wooden spoon or a spatula break meat into large and then small pieces. Cook for 5-7 minutes, until cooked through.
For the taco cups:
- Preheat oven to 350F. Spray a muffin tin with cooking spray.
- Using a 3 1/2-inc or 4-inch round cookie cutter, cut out 24 rounds from the tortillas (2 rounds per tortilla).Place rounds in the muffin cavities and press own.
- Top with 1 tbsp ground turkey and 1 tbsp grated cheese.Bake for 10 minutes, until cheese is melted.Remove from the oven and let them cool for 5 minutes.
- Using a fork, carefully remove cups from the muffin tin. Place on a plate or party platter.Top with copped avocado, tomatoes, sour cream and Pace® Salsa Verde

Taco cups are one of my favorite bite-sized foods to make! This looks SO good, Mira! I love that you used tortilla shells for the base and loaded these with lots of topping. Sounds delicious with that salsa on top, too! So perfect for the season!
