Chocolate Strawberry Spinach Smoothie Recipe – made with Carnation Breakfast Essentials® Powder in chocolate, frozen strawberries, spinach, banana and almond milk. Perfect for a nutritious and delicious breakfast.carnation-breakfast-chocolate-strawberry-spinach-smoothie

I know I’ve told you before, but I was never a breakfast person. Not until recently. I now love breakfast and can’t even imagine life without it. This Chocolate Strawberry Spinach Smoothie has been one of my favorite breakfasts lately.

Carnation Breakfast Essentials® is encouraging everyone to get into a better breakfast routine. I decided to take the 7-Day Breakfast Challenge and enjoy a nutritious breakfast every day for 7 days. And I’m very happy I took the challenge. I’ve felt great ever since.

Let me tell you, I used to skip breakfast all the time! I’ll  wake up, make a cup of coffee and take the dog for a walk. Then when I’m back I’ll start working on the computer and do not remember to eat something for 2-3 hours. Then it is time for a workout or to go out and run some errands and that’s when I realized I haven’t had breakfast yet. This is so wrong!

If my story sounds familiar, you might be interested to take the challenge and try their products!

I decided to change things and this was the best decision I’ve ever made. Thanks to the Carnation 7-Day Challenge! I did take the challenge. I used Carnation Breakfast Essentials® powder in a breakfast recipe for 7 days.

I went to my local Walmart and found everything I needed for my recipe. I found the Carnation Breakfast Essentials® powder and Ready-to-Drink Bottles at the front of the cereal aisle. Creating the recipe was super easy for me, but I did need to follow some guidelines.

There are three powders to choose from – chocolate, strawberry and vanilla. I chose chocolate. I made a chocolate strawberry spinach smoothie. It has the perfect flavor and texture. It takes just minutes to make with easy to find ingredients, which you probably already have.

Now, when I wake up, I do have a coffee, but I also make a nutritious smoothie for breakfast. You can also take this smoothie to work, if you’d like to.

I feel so much better now, after completing the challenge. I take my time to enjoy my breakfast, then I take the dog for a walk and start working after that. I don’t feel rushed and I definitely don’t feel hungry!

Along with the 7-Day Breakfast Challenge there is a sweepstakes happening.

Ready to get started? Follow these easy steps:

1. Sign up at CarnationBreakfastChallenge.com.

2. Complete a simple yet fun breakfast mission for a chance to win. New prizes will be revealed every day!

3. Come back any day in February to complete missions and see new prizes. The prizes range from a Fitbit to a GoPro and other awesome stuff!

4. Head to your favorite store to purchase a Carnation Breakfast Essentials® Nutritional Product and upload your receipt for five extra entries per day.

I signed up and I’ve done some missions already. I learned some interesting information about Food Protein Groups. I also took a quiz to find out which flavor I am and I am “strawberry sensation”.

I set a goal to drink more water and stay hydrated. I set a goal to limit the snoozes in the morning to just one! I took a morning routine survey.

Do you have your own tips for a great morning? I’m still enjoying the 7-Day Challenge and hope you also give it a try!
