I’ve been through a lot this year already and I’m glad the year is towards its end.

All sorts of minor health issues, personal stuff, just life! But I always keep in mind that staying active and taking care of your body is one of the most important things you could do, if you want to feel ok.

I was never an athlete, but I love working out, running, swimming (not so much anymore!) and spending time outdoors. I’ve made a habit to go for a morning walk every day. It helps me get energized before work. Then I do my workout, which is usually 3 times a week. Sometimes I do yoga. Staying active has also helped me stay healthy.

I know how easy it is to lose motivation for this, when life gets on the way, but I believe that what I’ve been doing has helped.

I also feel like my body is in balance. Workouts are the perfect treatment for my stress. And stress is dangerous. At times, I just prefer to workout of go for a walk, instead of taking a nap, watching tv or going out, because for me this is the best way to reduce stress and then be able to fully relax.

I was talking to a friend of mine on the same subject the other day. The girl is in graduate school and feels stressed out, says she doesn’t have the time and motivation to exercise.

I decided to surprise her with a small gift basket and hopefully help her with motivation because this is all I could do. And I’m hoping this helps her.

A couple years back we used to got to a yoga class together. So here is what I got for her gift basket:

  • yoga hand towel
  • hair band
  • 3 lb weights (these are great for a quick at home workout)
  • nourishing face mask, because relaxation and finding time for yourself is important
  • lip balm
  • delicious treat like the goodnessknows® snack squares

I decided to include these goodnessknows® snack squares, which I found at my local Walmart, by the checkout lanes.

They are made with real fruit, dark chocolate and whole nuts and come in bite size squares. They come in 3 different flavors –goodnessknows® Cranberry, Almond, Dark Chocolate, goodnessknows® Apple, Almond & Peanut, Dark Chocolate and goodnessknows® Peach & Cherry, Almond, Dark Chocolate. My friend loves snacks like these, so I know she will be pleased with my surprise.

Let’s take time and enjoy all the good things in life, find balance, feel better. Have a goodnessknows® snack square or goodness to greatness!

Here is a COUPON for you, if you decide to try the snack squares.
